ENIPC Women, Infant & Children Program

Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council

About

WIC is a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. WIC provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low income pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.

WIC is effective in improving the health of pregnant women, new mothers, and their infants.

WIC is a short term program. A participant will graduate at the end of one or more certification periods. A certification period is the length of time a WIC participant is eligible to receive benefits.

The WIC food packages are designed to meet the needs of our participants who are at nutritional risk.

To apply to be a WIC participant, you will need to contact our office and schedule an appointment. At that time you will be told what items to bring with you to your appointment. In most cases we offer same day appointments.
