Native Workforce Partners (NWP) is pleased to share that we are recruiting a part-time Executive Director (independent contractor) to help guide and strengthen our statewide Native workforce initiative. NWP is working with Stephine “Steph” Poston of Poston & Associates, LLC to support the recruitment process and identify qualified candidates for this leadership role.

Position Overview
Title: Executive Director (Independent Contractor)
Location: Remote, based in New Mexico
Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week
Compensation: Not to exceed $65 per hour

The Executive Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for Native Workforce Partners, working collaboratively with Tribal workforce programs, state agencies, and partner organizations to strengthen career pathways and workforce systems for Native communities across New Mexico. The role includes coalition building, grant management, partnership development, and advancing workforce opportunities connected to key sectors such as infrastructure, climate resilience, and energy.

Key Dates / Timeline

  • April 14, 2026 – 5:00 PM MST: Application packets due
  • April 15-22, 2026: Initial application review and candidate screening
  • Late April / Early May April 2026: Candidate interviews conducted by NWP leadership
  • Mid May: Final candidate selection and offer extended
  • Late May 2026: Executive Director onboarding begins
